Northern Illinois University Police Department Explosives Detection K9 Unit provided with canines and handler training.
June 2013 June Randy and Lucy taught a three week Detection Trainers School to members of the Northern Illinois Explosives Ordinance Detection Canine Unit. Following that course Randy procurred two additional green dogs for the University and Lucy remained on site and supervised the training of the new dogs. Following eight weeks of training, the new dogs and their handlers were certified as explosives detection teams. The NIU Police Department is to be commended for their concern for public safety and their committment and willingness to develop an outstanding Explosives Detection K9 Unit.
