Applicants must be in good physical health. Randy Hare School of Dog Trainers (RHSDT) reserves the right to require a doctor's written permission prior to attendance or to decline an application for health reasons. RHSDT may require testing of an applicant's physical abilities. If you have questions regarding the physical requirements of RHSDT courses please contact our admissions office.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent (GED) in order to receive certification. Applicants should also have a working knowledge of the English language. RHSDT does not provide any advanced standing for students that have previous related experience, credit, or have attended another course of school unless otherwise agreed upon by RHSDT.
Students are permitted to bring one dog with them for the course (see the housing options regarding whether dogs are allowed). In rare exceptions an additional dog may be allowed. Dogs must be up to date on health clearances and be fully vaccinated within 2 weeks prior to the course. As this is primarily a school for dog trainers, the training of the applicant's dog may be limited depending on the dog's suitability for the activities involved.
